I have lived in Louisville/So. Indiana most of my life. However, 22 years ago, I wanted to be a photographer. I moved to Ohio and went to school for photography. That journey led me to meet my friend Shaun, who became and has been my husband for 16 years. He is from New Jersey, but when school was over I decided to move home and he came with me. He now calls Kentucky his home. He loves it here. Since moving back to KY I worked for Zappos and Amazon for almost 10 years. I worked on the post production teams in the photo studios. During that time I had my baby girl (who is not a baby anymore) and wanted to work for a smaller local company. I have worked for a couple of local companies doing photography, websites, helping with catalogs, e-commerce, and pretty much whatever they needed me to do. I recently worked for a talent acquisition company, and I got out of my comfort zone and networked a lot. It was very overwhelming for me at first, but I have met some amazing people. I love working for small local companies because when you get to experience a lot of sides of the business and learn so much about how businesses work. I love when a team can work together and make amazing things happen. I feel I have hit the jackpot getting this opportunity at Goodson. Everyone here has been amazing! I look forward to meeting customers and helping Goodson grow.
Once upon a time, in the mid 1990’s I wanted to be an animator. I wrote the animator for the show Home Improvement telling him my hopes and dreams as a tween, and he actually wrote me a sweet letter back, saying not to give up, follow my dreams, and work hard. I still have the letter saved in a box in my basement. I felt brave and wrote him back asking for Jonthan Taylor Thomas’s autograph… I never heard back on that one.
Our house is wild. I live in a multi-generational home, with dogs, a cat, 2 axolotls (yes they are real), and a couple of fish tanks. I love every day of it. I love being with my family and having the support system that I do.
I love to cook, bake, and photograph in my spare time!
