Our team was first introduced to Cotton Heritage at an event in Cincinnati. We loved their brand and the products right away. They immediately began building a relationship with us, much like we do with our customers. The funny thing was that the rep we met did not cover our territory, but he still took great care of us and pointed us to Dave Durbin, who serves our area.
T-Shirts have trended toward being thinner and softer for some time now. The tri-blend (cotton, polyester, and rayon) shirt has become the most popular. However, in recent years trends have been shifting back toward thicker, heavier shirts with more and more cotton.
Cotton Heritage focuses on 100% cotton products, taking advantage of the improvements in technology and manufacturing processes to offer primarily cotton products that have the same soft hand and comfort that made tri-blend shirts so popular. You really get the best of both worlds.
Most Cotton Heritage items are 100% combed ring-spun cotton, which sounds complex, but is pretty logical. They comb the fiber first to make it softer and smoother and then spin it into the yard they use to manufacture their items. The result is an extremely soft and comfortable item that is 100% cotton (the only exception to this is heather colors which require polyester to create the heathered texture).
Cotton is a natural fiber, polyester and rayon are synthetic. Being primarily cotton helps the items breath better, help you stay cooler, and are less prone to pilling with use. Cotton also allows more flexibility with imprint methods, allowing full color direct to garment printing, water-based screen printing, discharge screen printing, and more.
